I had a hard time believing that the tree house would fall out of the tree as Julia starts to climb the rope. Usually the rope is attached to a tree branch above the tree house floor. Also the tree house doesn't sit in the tree. It would attached to the tree with bolts and nails so that strong winds couldn't blow it out of the tree.
Secondly, Julia had a sexual relationship before Thomas. There is no way that she would forget about her birth control pills!
